Designer / Coder / Artist / Racer / Daydreamer / Anime Watcher
Yup, that about sums it up.
Welcome to my online playground. My name is Jerry S Byrd Jr. and I'm a web designer based in the DC metropolitan area. Since I was young, I've always had a fascinated for all things web and have been working in the industry for over 6 years. I'm currently employed at a digital agency called Siteworx and have had the opportunity to work for clients such as Time Warner Cable, Bain & Company, AARP, Booz Allen Hamilton, and George Mason University. While the majority of my work is private, my public portfolio can be found on Dribbble.
As a designer, I specialize in visual interface design. My role is to control the perception of content. The web must have content in order to have value. Where content is not perceived as valuable it is often disregarded. This could lead to a lost opportunity such as a sale. Design to me is not about following trends, but thinking critically about the problem at hand. I enjoy the challenge of creating inventive solutions to these issues.
When I'm not behind a screen, I enjoy taking long walks on the beach, reading romantic novels, or playing a good game of croquet. Ok so not really, quite the opposite. lol I enjoy being active and can usually be found partaking in a grassroots motorsports called autocross on the weekends. Remember, "if you ain't first, you're last!
