Global Santé Journal is an online chronicle dedicated to addressing the need for quality medical articles, focusing on the treatment of infectious diseases in developing countries. Furthermore, they aim to close the communication gap between academics and practitioners.
Having coming across Global Santé Journal as a project on 99Design.com, I decide to take on this venture as a case study. As indicated in their brief, Global Santé Journal wanted their site to be redesigned as they felt their current site was unfinished and empty. In addition, they wanted a design that would compliment their new logo.
Using their preferences as a guide, the layout was formed. The news section was given ample distinction followed by the recent articles to establish a hierarchy and flow. The color pallet was kept light and loose to compliment the logo and encourage new comers.
